Swedish wind power poised to dominate after record year

In 2019, 1.6 GW of new wind capacity was installed in Sweden, and orders were placed for 2.5 GW in new turbines, marking yet another record year for the country’s wind build-out. The Swedish Wind Energy Association sets its sights on 2023, a year when wind power will form the backbone of the national energy mix along with hydroelectric.
